how distant can be distant assimilation (or dissimilation)?

Hi,

I am looking for exemples of assimilation (or dissimilation) at a distance of more than one syllable in any language.

A (claimed) example from Ancient Greek:

TIMONOTHOS -> THIMONOTHOS (with two intermediate syllables: mo-no)

I am interested to know whether someone could bring more exemples of such cases of distant assimilation (with two or even more intermediate syllables) from any other language.
