In Arabic, which text (or what else) was used as a base for categorization (Lam al-ahd, Lam al-jins, Perfection, Conjunction etc) of the Arabic definite article (ال)? In other words, what is the origin of those categories, which define the 'meanings' of definite article in Arabic grammar?
