Would anyone be able to provide references to work on the articulatory setting for Chinese and Korean? There is a good description of that for Japanese in Timothy Vance, An Introduction to Japanese Phonology (1987), but I have not been able to find descriptions of the same for Chinese or Korean. My impression of Chinese is that the lips are spread and perhaps withdrawn, but further than that I have no idea.
